Grant writing

A range of workshops to adapt to your objectives and participants’ needs. Mixed groups (experience, disciplines, stages of writing) are catered for. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Hands-on workshops for grant writers

  • Writing retreats

Over a minimum of 1 day, retreats provide an opportunity for ‘deep work’. They combine brief presentations on relevant themes, directed exercises and unstructured writing time, alongside individual coaching as needed.

Retreats can be in person or online.

  • 1/2-day Modular workshops

These workshops focus on specific aspects of the grant writing or research development process. They combine presentations, directed exercises, and opportunities discussion. They can also be delivered 2-hour seminars with reduced time for writing activities.

These workshops can be delivered in person or online.

  • 1 or 2-day workshops

These longer workshops bring together several modules into a longer programme. They provide further opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and support. They are useful to focus on a specific career stage, for instance ECR; or on a specific stage of developing a funding application, for instance the core of a proposal.

These workshops are best delivered in person.

  • Longer programmes

These programmes can accommodate a mix of modules, seminars and retreats to be tailored to your needs. They are typically delivered in several sessions that are weeks or months apart, to give participants the opportunity to develop ideas or work between workshops.

They can be delivered in person, or a mix of in person and online.
